Heidi Ek
Chairman of School For All Sweden & India School Ambassador
Based in Göteborg, Sweden, Heidi leads School for All Sweden, an organization dedicated to creating impactful learning environments for underserved children in India and Nepal. Her passion for education comes from her own experiences and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities.
Heidi founded and led the Swedish organization that supported the Thade School Project from its beginning in 2013, and she continues in the same role as the project evolves into School For All. With a strong background in education and community development, she works closely with sponsors and partners to ensure that every child has equitable access to quality schooling.
In addition to her work with School For All, Heidi is part of Volvo Energy, where she focuses on learning and support - contributing to the global transition toward fossil-free transportation and a more sustainable world.
Michael Pfeiffer
Chairman of School For All Denmark & Nepal School Ambassador
Michael is located in Denmark and plays a pivotal role in connecting School for All with communities in Nepal. A professional and entrepreneur with a background managing and growing a successful IT company, winning and collaborating with top tier global brands along the way.
His experience in grassroots activism allows him to engage with families and local leaders to advocate for children's right to proper education. Michael believes that education is a powerful tool for change, and he actively works to build trust and collaboration within communities. His empathetic approach and strong communication skills make him a vital link between the organization and the people it serves, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are met.
Michael is also a mountaineer, and has spent decades visiting mountainous regions around the world. He believes in giving something back to the kind and hospitable mountain people he has met, and what better way than to help their children with proper education so they too have the opportunity to fulfil their dreams.
Abhinav Subba
Project Leader in India
Abhinav, who grew up in the hill station of Darjeeling in northeastern India, has emerged as a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher. He currently oversees the school project in Rungli, where he takes charge of everything from construction and curricular design to the recruitment of teachers.
With more than six years of experience as Headmaster in the school in Thade, Nepal, Abhinav has played a crucial role in elevating both the school and the academic achievements of its students. He has introduced various initiatives such as free tutoring, music classes, and cooking lessons, helping children uncover their talents and realize their full potential. He has developed straightforward and effective strategies for engaging with students.
Abhinav’s hands-on teaching approach have transformed learning into an enjoyable and interactive experience. His innovative curriculum designs are set to be implemented in Rungli as well.
Saran Subba
Nepal school administration & responsible for construction
Born and raised in the mountains of Darjeeling, Saran’s life has been shaped by the Himalayas and the people who call them home. As a mountain guide and founder of a Nepal-based trekking and expedition company Hi On Life Adventures, he has spent decades walking remote trails, living among rural Himalayan communities. This connection inspired him to start the Thade School Project in Nepal, where he served as Project Leader for ten years.
During this time, he successfully managed the school’s operations and legal responsibilities, helping create a space where children from all backgrounds could learn, grow, and dream. Saran lives between Nepal and Sweden, spending the non-trekking months in Sweden with his family. His mission is simple yet powerful - to use adventure, responsibility, and collaboration as tools to create access, opportunity, and dignity through education, ensuring that quality learning is possible for every child.
Petra Noord
Board member, School For All Sweden
Petra is located in Göteborg. She is a board member of School For All Sweden and has also been involved in Thade School Project since the start in 2013.
Petra is working as Environmental Health Inspector. She is passionate about nature and environmental questions and has a strong drive to make a positive impact on both the environment and the lives of young individuals.
Robert Caesar
Board member, School For All Sweden
Robert is based in Göteborg and works as a medical researcher at the University of Gothenburg. He serves on the board of School for All in an advisory and supportive capacity.
He is driven by the belief that prosperity, equality, and democracy depend on everyone having access to education. Through his work, he supports initiatives that strengthen education as a foundation for a more just and sustainable society.
Amanda Li
Communications, School For All
Amanda Li locates in Göteborg and supports School For All by strengthening communication, content, and channels. With the background in marketing and strategic communications, she helps shape and communicate School For All that are purposeful, well aligned, and impact driven.
Amanda works at Volvo Trucks in Sweden. She believes that sustainable change is built through collaboration and shared responsibility, and is committed to strengthening storytelling and visibility in support of education for underserved children.
